According to online listings, Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial special edition box set is only happening on the Blu-Ray set, not DVD, unlike it’s predecessor movie. Possibly worst of all, none of the versions will come with English subtitles, again, unlike the former in the series. This is particularly disappointing when this is meant to be the second in the recent trilogy of Ultraman movies; featuring Ultraman Zero as the main star. The set however does come with Japanese subtitles, so I guess that’s some kind of plus, right?
With every cloud, there comes a silver lining. Grown Ups In Spandex confirmed before it’s theatrical release that they’d be subbing it if it didn’t come with official English subs, but it’s no replacement for a real set.
The movie is set for home release on the 22th April 2011.
