Found this over at AZM, that one of our sponsors, HLJ, got to hit up the Mokei Hobby Show for some kickass coverage. Click to around the 5:10 mark to see HLJ top dog Scott Hard go all fanboy on the Figurerise Line of Master Grade Kits for Kamen Rider W toys… and rightfully so! There’s a LunaTigger model being displayed that’s practically begging for my money and telling me that it will even do my dishes.

The first booth we went to at the All-Japan Hobby Show was the Bandai booth and and its impressive display of Gundam model kits. Of course, most eyes were drawn to the upcoming 1/60 Perfect Grade Strike Freedom Gundam and three kits in various forms of completion were on display. A placard with the words “Biggest model in the History of the Perfect Grade” was set beside the displayed model and they aren’t kidding. With the Dragoons out this thing is enormous. Come December, we will get to find out for ourselves just how enormous it is.
A similar display was set up for the second release in Bandai’s Real Grade line and several of the upcoming 1/144 RG MS-06S Char’s Zaku II in various states of assembly were there for us to drool over and even play with. Like the 1/144 RG RX-78-2 Gundam, this beauty will come with it’s articulate frame already molded, runners in various shades of red for the armor, an expansive stickers sheet complete with foils, and even individual pipe pieces! Bandai set the bar pretty high with the RG RX-78-2 and the Zaku II looks to continue that new tradition.
Speaking of red Zakus the next Mega Size Model, the 1/48 MEGA SIZE MODEL MS-06S Char’s Zaku II, was there along with its counterpart, the previously released 1/48 MEGA SIZE MODEL Gundam. While it was displayed in a standing position, it should be just as articulate as the previous Mega Size Gundam and assemble the same unique way.
From there we moved onto the Figurerise Line of Master Grade Kits and HLJ boss Scott Hards just had to be the guy to do introduce the Kamen Rider section. The already released 1/8 MG Figurerise Kamen Rider and 1/8 MG Figurerise Kamen Rider W Luna Trigger we on display along with several kits Bandai has coming, such as the 1/8 Figurerise Kamen Rider W Heat Metal and even one Bandai hasn’t completely decided it will release yet, Accel! The much anticipated MG Figurerise Monkey D Luffy One Piece kit, due to arrive this month, was also there displayed in various poses. Talk about articulate!
Another One Piece kit that is on the way from Bandai is the Going Merry ship which looked impressive, plus a prototype of the 1000 Sunny ship which we will be hearing more of in the Future.
