Its been a long time since I wrote anything here, Last thing I wrote was a video game review. Well guess what
Here comes another.

Pokemon Soul Silver is the remake of quite possibly one of my favorite games of all time, When the original came
out and the 2nd Generation of Pokemon had started I was excited, I wanted to catch all 251 which was the number at
the time. I along with my friends got almost every little part of that game down easily. no gameshark, no cloning,
no BS at all.

Now 12 years after Nintendo and GameFreak have answered my prayers. when they first released Firered and Leafgreen
just about every fan of pokemon knew that it would be the start of a trend, Yeah Pokemon FR and LG may be Generation
3 games but they take place in the area that started it all. Glorious land of “Kanto”. But this review isn’t about
firered.

When nintendo first announced Heartgold and SoulSilver I was crazy excited because I knew it would eventually be
coming to the states. that I would be able to relive the victorious feeling I felt 12 years ago when I played.
I counted down every day till I got that game.

Lets start before I get way to carried away.

Story: You play as either a boy or a girl who is just starting their adventure leaving home to travel all throughout
the land of Johto, The stuff you face will all help with the outcome of what can go on for over 9000 hours of gameplay
and I kid you not about that.

Graphics: The graphics for Pokemon Heartgold and SoulSilver is the just about as good as Diamond and Pearl and
quite possibly a little bit better at some parts.

Pokewalker: I was a little surprised when they announced the “pokewalker” for both of these games, there have been
Pokemon Speedometers before where when you walk a lot you earn a lot but this thing takes Pocket Pikachu to a whole
new out of this world epic level. you can unlock different areas with different pokemon and with different events along
with how much “Watts” you collect. Yes I said WATTS. not WATS which is the total misspelling of the word “What”. Watts
are very useful for getting items and pokemon on the walker. there is a limit of 4 pokemon on the walker[the one you put in
and the 3 you catch] and 3 items on the walker.

Stuff added: They added quite a lot to this, its a perfect mix of all 4 generations of pokemon, Yes I know. there is
soon to be 5. They added a Battle frontier, Mewtwo, the Legandary Birds, Groudon on Soul Silver, Kyoger on Heartgold,
Latios on Soul Silver, Latias on Heart Gold. Thats a perfect mix of Legandarys from all 4 Generations. They added a
“Pokelathon” where you and your pokemon do a bunch of mini games to earn points to get stuff like Stones and other
items you can’t get at normal pokemarts. Pal Park is also included so if you want to “Upload” pokemon from Ruby, Sapphire,
Emerald, Firered and Leafgreen.

Multiplayer: The multiplayer on these games is fantastic, they both work perfectly with Diamond, Pearl and Platinum.
They can connect to Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii, Wi-Fi runs beautifully for just about anything. Also. when
getting pokemon from the Global Terminal Station make sure they are legit and not from a Action Replay or gameshark.

Final Thoughts: I honestly love this game to death. It has just about everything the original silver had and then some
Though there are a few things that they took out which kind of disappointed me, Back when it was for the Gameboy Color
there was a “Mystery Gift” function for when two of the inferred sensors met up a total of 5 gifts could be given out
to each person per day. Most of those items being used to customize the players room which sort of inspired the whole
“Secret Base” thing from Generation 3 Hoenn games and Generation 4 Sinnoh games. Other than that small fact this game
is absolutely perfect. It has that old school charm with new school flavor. if you are a fan of pokemon at all Get this.
