The first relevant and very interesting piece of info is that the series has a special director for chinese martial arts, his name is Tsutomu Kitagawa.

-Seems that the villains group insn’t Narakudo anymore but Rinjuuden or Confrontation Beast Hall.

-Fierce Beast Fist – Beast Arts (激獣拳ビーストアーツ/Gekijuuken Beast Arts)
The Beast Fist school of justice.
The energy in which this school is based is called “Geki” or Fierce Enegry and it’s obtained when one feels the beast within one’s heart.
By making the Fierce Energy burn, endless power is obtained.

Scratch

A sports company with “Supporting sports with science and heart.” as motto. In there, a special department developed the GekiChanger gloves, devices that enchance the “geki” (激気) or “fierce energy” to its limit. Other inventions are the GekiTonfas, the GekiNunchakus and the training robot RoboTough.

Profiles:

Kandou Jan/GekiRed (漢堂ジャン/ゲキレッド)
Gekired, the Unbreakable Body, from which power flows unstoppable.
Practices the Fierce Beast – Tiger Fist, he is a begginer, though.
He was raised by tigers deep within the forest for unknown reasons, his true origin unknown as well. Has a panda friend.
Has his senses sharply enchanced and feels with the body, not with the brain. He can’t use common words so he sometimes describes things with words such as “niki-niki”, “zowa-zowa”, “waki-waki”, his own personal “Jan-ish”. (It makes more sense in japanese of course)
He was scouted by Scratch because he personificates the “Body” of a Gekiranger: he can be pinned against the ground by a big log with no harm at all. As he was raised by animals, he doesn’t know and has to learn about the “Heart”.

-Uzaki Ran/GekiYellow (宇崎ラン/ゲキイエロー)
Diligence day by day, refining one’s soul, that is GekiYellow, the Honest Heart.
Employee of Scratch and Fierce Beast – Cheetah Fist artist.
Her family owns a Karate Dojo, making her a bit masculine and a sore loser.
Relies more in will than technique when fighting.
Upright and cleanhanded, will do things always the right way, she is a fighter that gives “Heart” the highest place.
Excells in speed but her reluctance to care for the small details make her “Technique” very poor.

-Fukami Retsu/GekiBlue (深見レツ/ ゲキブルー)
Let your thechnique explode like a colofurl flower, the Fantastic Technique of GekiBlue.
Employee of Scratch and Fierce Beast – Jaguar Fist artist.
Very intelligent but also selfish, doesn’t take interest in others and gives an impression of extreme coldness. He sometimes mixes english when speaking.
Knows various techniques and styles, putting them in first priority when training. His atention to beauty costs him stamina, making his “Body” his weakest point.

Misaki Miki (真崎美希)
Head of the Special Research Department of Scratch.
Hard worker, kind and strong.
She is also a pupil of Sha-Fu and a Fierce Beast Fist artist herself but acts just as a supporter of the Gekirangers.

Master Sha-Fu

Master of the Gekirangers. Has the appearance of a caracal and is a Grand Master of the Fierce Beast Fist. He makes his students find the answers they seek for themselves. The triangle in his lower back seems to manifest his fighting state. Sha-Fu is called “Cat” by Jan. Loves to be stroken in the neck. The reason why he has the appearance of a feline is unknown.

Robotough

Indispensable training robot for the Gekirangers. It is a “Beast Fist Trainer” developed by Scratch. It can be adjusted to the users level, from “Beginner” to “Expert”.

GekiBeasts
A Gekiwaza (Fierce Technique) of Sha-Fu that allows to produce “a secondary self” (clone is not the correct word) made of Fierce Energy.
The Gekirangers saw and imitated Sha-Fu’s “Cloning Times Times (proportion) Fist” or “Bunshin Bai Bai Ken” and created their GekiBeasts. When they join their souls into one, the Beasts combine to form a Giant. This combination technique is a secret among secrets in the Fierce Beast Fist.

GekiTouja

The result of the combination of the three GekiBeasts.
He has two Gekiwazas: The “Dai Gan Gan Ken” or the “Great Firm Firm Fist” and the “Dai Gan Gan Kyoku” or the “Great Firm Firm Kick”.

-Confrontation Beast Fist – Akugata
The evil school of the Beast Fist, contraty to the Beast Arts.
It takes it’s strenght from the pain and sadness of the weak. Their energy is contrary to the Fierce Energy (Geki), it is called Rinki or Confrontation Energy. Their techniques are called Ringi or Confrontation Technique. It’s said that the creators of the Rinjuuken are the Fist Demon of the Sky, the Fist Demon of the Sea and the Fist Demon of the Ground: The Three Fist Demons.

Lio

A young Akugata artist expert in the Confrontation Beast – Lion Fist. Creates the Confrontation Beast Hall or Rinjuuden/臨獣殿 after bringing back from the dead various Confrontation Beast Fist artists known along the long story of the Akugata. Follows the orders of the Three Fist Demons and brings dispair and suffering to the world in order to conquer it. Seems to be connected in some way to Master Sha-Fu but nothing else is known. Sometimes, in his dreams, flashbacks of his past memory as a normal human come to him.

Kuroshishi

A mysterious jet black Confrontation Beast Lion Fist warrior. His true identity is perhaps…

Mele

A Confrontation Beast Chameleon Fist artist jiang-shi (chinese zombi). Finds satisfaction in intimidating the weak. Cruel and malevolent.
Very close to Lio, who she adores, commands lower jiang-shi to carry on Lio’s plans.

Bae

Originally a Fierce Beast Fly Fist artist, lost in battle to Mele and was imprisoned. He is usually inside Mele’s stomach.
He loves to coment giant fights and when one ensues, he automatically gets out of Mele’s body and begins to coment the battle.

Rinshiriis/ リンシリーズ
Confrontation Beast Fist warriors brought back from death by Lio.
The normal types are called Rinshii/リンシー, they wear a mask formed by a hat and an eye bandage. A Rinshii that make it across the “Trial Gates” can remove this mask and the inscription on their forehead allows them to transform into a Rinrinshii/ リンリンシー. With the Confrontation Technique “Juujin Jashinhen” or “Beastman Wicked Body Transformation” they obtain a beastman form that greatly resembles the beast their fighting style is based on.

Ep 1. VS Mantis Fist 1 (temporary)
Beastman Makirika (Kamakiri/Mantis)
The night of the once-in-500-years lunar eclipse.
It was the only chance to eternally seal the “Fist Demon’s Bracelet”. However, Miki Misaki is attacked by a group of Confrontation Beast Fist soldiers and the Bracelet is stolen. Then, the leader of the Confrontation Beast Hall, Lio, obeying the souls of the long dead founders of the Confrontation Beast Fist, starts their plans to conquer the world.
However, the Grand Master of the Fierce Beast Fist, Sha-Fu, along with Miki had been prepared for this coming battle and was training two young fighters, Ran and Retsu. Miki had met a wild youth called Jan and joined the other two warriors in forming the Beast Fist Task Force Gekiranger. However they face the Mantis Fist Beastman Makirika.
